Here for sale you have my 205mi16.
Now is the time for it to go as I need a bigger car!
The car was originally a 1.9 GTI and converted to the 1.9 16V Mi16 alloy engine alongside the original 1.9 gearbox in 2007.
I think the pictures speak volumes but here is a list of some of the history I have with the car:
May 2007 – Pug Racing rebuilt and fitted 1.9 Mi16 along with four branch manifold.
Whilst this work was carried out the braided hoses and the brake lines were replaced as they are hard to do when engine is in situ.
February 2008 Just Gti’s refurbished rear beam and fitted Bilsteins all round and lowered the car.
August 2009 – Full re-spray along with door shuts in original colour. Doors were removed along with all glass to complete the re-spray. All arches were removed with clip pins ground out and replaced with new ones. All exterior arches have new clips throughout the body. Brand new automatic bonnet was put on, along with two new genuine Peugeot front wings. All Bumpers were re-sprayed in black and whilst the bumpers were off the underside and behind the headlights were undersealed.
When the re-spray was carried out 90% of all bright work was replaced including:
Red stripe all round
New 205 decals
Genuine Peugeot door lock set
Overall as you can see in the pictures it looks excellent!
The paintwork is now nearly 4 and half years old and does have the odd stone chip and blemish which is only as to be expected when being used as a daily runner. The main bits that let the car down but do not ruin the overall appearance of the car is a bit of rust and bubbling that has come through just behind the driver’s door as shown in the picture, also both rear arches have some surface rust but this has come from the tyres rubbing when I have had passengers. Ideally the rear of the car could do with being raised a bit to stop this happening.
All this could be sorted at a local paint shop at a reasonable cost and has been reflected in price.
Also the bumpers are not freshly painted anymore and do have small blemishes in the black paint but there are no scuffs or scraps.
Please don’t let this put you off as I’m only trying to be honest.
I would be asking a lot more for the car if I had the paint done myself.
The interior I would say is more than acceptable with the normal wear and tear on a car which is nearly 24 years old, just a bit of bolster wear on the driver’s seat, this would look better by using some leather colour repair. Some stitching coming loose on back seat but isn’t that noticeable. (See pics). Slight wear to gearstick knob.

New clutch and cable (this was due to the release bearing collapsing)
New Timing belt kit along with Valeo water pump
Refurbished Air Flow Meter
New K&N induction filter
New Bosch Idle control valve
New distributor and rotor arm
New drivers side Ball joint
New Throttle position sensor
New Alternator and along with new belt
Refurbished Starter Motor
4 New Dunlop tyres which have done less than 500 miles
New engine temperature sensor
New wipers, front and back
New brake discs and pads, front and back 25/04/2014
Sub frame from another low mileage 205 was fitted but prior to fitting I painted it with black Hammerite. I have pictures of it before I painted it to prove how clean it was with no rust.
I have fitted a battery cut-off switch as the car battery started to run down after 2 days even after replacing with a new battery and alternator. I have checked for battery drains and couldn’t find any but I only know little about electrics so decided it was cheaper to do this rather than put it into a garage. It also holds up thieves if they don’t know it’s there. I think the battery drain is due to the immobiliser but I cannot check this.
Serviced – oil, oil filter, fuel filter and spark plugs. I have just bought oil and filter for another oil change. Will do this if I get chance.
On the last M.O.T There were no advisories but M.O.T is due June 2014 and I don’t think it will need anything as I have just renewed brake discs and pads, front and back and had a look over the rest of the car and everything seems fine.
In short there has been a vast amount of money spent on this car with lots of receipts to prove! Items such as new racing HT leads, new Alloy radiator, Gear Linkage upgrade, Powerflow exhaust and much more within last couple few years. All mots dating back to ’94 along with hand and service books. Folder full of history.
The car has low mileage for its age. I also have a folder full of history so almost full history up until engine change and then its invoices for parts labour etc.

The car drives great; engine temperature is spot on as well as oil pressure.
